Water Corporation of Western Australia (Water Corp), the principal supplier of water and wastewater services to WA, have several large-scale Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), one of which is the Beenyup WWTP which services about 650,000 people and treats wastewater for northern suburbs from Quinns Rock to Scarborough and inland through Dianella to Midland. As part of the Water-to-Water Alliance (W2Wa), Water Corp is undertaking a $147 million capacity upgrade at Beenyup WWTP.
PowerEarth Technologies Pty Ltd were contracted by Water Corp to perform preliminary AC Earthing Hazard Analysis for the proposed upgrade. In addition, as part of the upgrade, we will be performing high voltage (HV) Earthing Design and Earthing Installation Verification testing for the proposed Energy Recovery Plant, Advanced Water Recycle Plant, and the 22kV Power System Upgrade project. Specifically this involves soil resistivity testing, HV Earthing system design, Current Injection testing, plus Step Potential, Touch Potential, and Continuity testing across the plant.
